Let me hear your body's story

As you know, I truly LOVE my job.

Here I am, on holiday in Cyprus, Sept19 : Sun, Sea and Side Angle Pose (parsvakonasana).

I'm at my happiest, when feeling the heat in my bones and enjoying long slow days at the beach that flow into a simple Al Fresco meal of fresh fish or seafood on a warm evening.

My soul sings when I move. And my mind settles into a peaceful place with seated meditation. Being a lively 'chatterbox' and social butterfly, those times of quiet contemplation and solitude are cherished. 

Showing up for Class, doesn't ever feel like 'A Job'.

Teaching and sharing my love of movement with Yoga, Pilates and Somatics is not just a passing passion; my enthusiasm has increased and is well-represented by my investment in high quality training.

I do feel highly qualified to share the attributes of practice with you, on a personal, theoretical, anatomical and practical level. And Of course, during the past 19 years on my own mat, my life has changed and, my body and my practice has also evolved and changed.

With over 14years of meeting Students' Bodies and 10years+ of therapeutic bodywork during individual client 1:1 appointments, the skill that I really feel most proud of, is my ability to READ YOUR BODY.

Your Body's Story may have many chapters and some of these will be of great importance to you, especially those that are your big life changes, including emotional episodes such as family stresses, a major health crisis, a bad accident, even moving home or approaching retirement. 

So for me, YOGA is definitely a Process, not just a series of Postures on a To Do list.

During group class, I remind you to connect body to breath and mind, so that a combination of appropriate warmups, slower flows, some held asanas and attention to your alignment combine together so that you DO understand the process.

We are ALL different and I am meeting your body in This Present Moment, as well as caring about your personal progression and development.

I like to plan to a general theme each week so that you receive variety and creative content while also practising classical and popular moves so that you gain confidence and skill.

A thoughtful adjustment or suggestion may help you to advance your practice or guide you to a gentle moderation. 

During 1:1 appointments I use my experience in all 3 disciplines, but primarily as a Somatic Movement Coach, to recognise common features of certain posture shapes and then help you to increase your understanding of your movement, both internally and externally.

This greater awareness helps you to FEEL the RELIEF that comes with letting go of tension, resulting in improvements in mobility and this leads to a decrease of pain in the areas that are often the habitually 'stiff, tight and held' places in your body.

An individual appointment benefits you and your unique body situation as I take a holistic approach to what's going on with you right now.

A 1.5hour Client Intake rate is £75 but SPECIAL OFFER BOOKINGS at £60 can be made on the following eight appointment dates in December:

Monday 2nd, 9th, 16th;
Tuesday afternoon 3rd, 10th, 17th December
or Saturday morning 7th, 14th December.

MEET IN GROUP CLASS
NEW 7week Terms begin at The Limes Centre during week commencing Monday 28th October.

Monday evenings I meet you at the Lloyd Park Centre ( £9 dropins). I have great pleasure also teaching yoga at the David Lloyd Chigwell Studio (Members only) 

At the Limes Centre, its just £10 for a Newcomer's Trial Class, with prepay terms offering better value at £9 a week for the prepay term.
